Set up Fexyn VPN on macOS

About five minutes to your first connection.

There's no native Mac app yet, so on macOS you connect with a subscription link — one private link that loads all your Fexyn servers into a free app. We recommend Hiddify; V2Box and Streisand are solid free alternatives. Either way you'll be online in a few minutes.

Before you start

  • A Fexyn account. Create one if you don't have one — every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
  • Your personal subscription link. Find it in Dashboard → Subscription Links. It looks like this:
    https://applinks.cc/api/sub/●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
Keep this link private — anyone who has it can use your account.

Connect with Hiddify (Recommended)

  1. Install Hiddify. Download it from the Hiddify GitHub releases page. Choose the Apple-silicon build for M1/M2/M3/M4 Macs or the Intel build for older Macs, open the downloaded file, and drag Hiddify into your Applications folder.
  2. Copy your subscription link. Open Dashboard → Subscription Links and copy your link in full.
  3. Add the subscription. Open Hiddify and click Add Profile from Clipboard. Hiddify reads the link you just copied and loads your Fexyn servers automatically.
  4. Connect. Pick a server, then click the large connect button. The first time you connect, macOS asks to allow a VPN configuration — click Allow and enter your Mac password.
  5. Verify you're protected. Open the IP checker and the DNS leak test. If your IP shows the server's location and no leaks appear, you're connected.

Alternative: V2Box

Prefer the Mac App Store? V2Box is free and installs in one click — no Gatekeeper warnings to deal with.

  1. Install V2Box from the Mac App Store.
  2. Copy your subscription link from Dashboard → Subscription Links.
  3. In V2Box, open the Config tab, tap Add Subscription, paste your link, and save.
  4. Pick a server, connect, and allow the VPN configuration prompt.

Streisand is another free Mac App Store option that follows the same paste-your-link flow.

Troubleshooting

  • "App can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer." This is macOS Gatekeeper on the Hiddify download. Right-click the app and choose Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
  • Nothing happens when you connect. macOS needs your permission to run a VPN. When the "Fexyn wants to add VPN configurations" prompt appears, click Allow and enter your Mac password.
  • No servers appear. The link wasn't imported in full. Re-copy your subscription link from your dashboard and add it again.
  • Connection fails. Re-copy your subscription link in full and try a different server.
  • Slow speeds. Switch to a server closer to you in the client's server list.
